Qualifications for Apprenticeship
(High school seniors can be 17 at the time of submittal, but will need to be 18 at the time of indenturing)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Good Driving Record, submitting official DMV report not older than 30 days
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- High School Graduate or GED
- Official High School Transcripts(submitted in an official school sealed envelope)
- Discharged Military Personal need to submit a copy of their DD-214
- Meet the requirements to obtain a Security Clearance
Passing a background check for Federal, Military, or State job assignments as per the Mid-Atlantic regional pass office, or independent security providers (the following is a list of the criteria used to deny access for obtaining a security clearance: Misdemeanor & Felony Convictions, DUI & Reckless driving violations, other traffic violation and ,the sex offender registry is looked at on a case by case basis). Please contact the JATC office if you have any questions about your eligibility to obtain a security clearance to discuss other employment opportunities available in the electrical construction industry.
- Receive a passing score on the Electrical Training Alliance Standardized Reading Comprehension and Algebra & Functions Aptitude Test.
