Sam has been nominated for Apprentice of the Month for her exceptional performance in the field. When Sam was asked why she decided to join the apprenticeship program. She stated the following: “I'm 31 years old and served 10.5 years in the Navy as an Aviation Electrician, working on F/A-18 Super Hornets and E-2D Hawkeyes. I really loved working as an Aviation Electrician in the Navy but I wanted to branch out into a field that would help me fix any issues that happen at home within code. I mentioned this to a Senior chief around the time I was getting out of the Navy and she recommended joining IBEW because her brother was a member in Florida and he was enjoying being a member.”
